Apple Music Hall Opens in London With 600 Seats, Spatial Audio and Global Live Broadcasts

Apple has unveiled a new live music venue in London, introducing the Apple Music Hall, a 600-seat space designed to bring artists and fans closer together while offering advanced production and broadcasting capabilities.

The new venue is located inside Battersea Power Station, the historic London landmark that has since been transformed into a major shopping and entertainment destination.

Apple Music Hall Combines Live Performances With Professional Production

The Apple Music Hall is designed to give artists the opportunity to perform intimate live shows for their fans while also producing high-quality recordings and video content.

According to Apple, performances can be recorded in Spatial Audio, mixed into broadcast-ready productions, and captured using a multi-camera video setup directly from the venue. This allows a single live performance to be transformed into content suitable for audiences around the world.

Historic Battersea Design Meets Modern Technology

The interior of Apple Music Hall takes inspiration from its historic surroundings. The venue incorporates original architectural influences, including heritage brickwork, fluted arches, and bronze balconies inspired by the building's historic oriel windows.

A large glass wall has also been incorporated into the design, creating a stronger visual connection between the modern venue and the historic structure of Battersea Power Station.

38-Foot Stage and 48-Speaker Spatial Audio System

At the center of the Apple Music Hall is a 38-foot-wide stage designed for live performances. Surrounding the audience is an advanced 48-speaker spatial sound system, allowing performances to be presented with an immersive audio experience.

Behind the stage, Apple has built a dedicated production area featuring two professional recording and mixing studios. These facilities are designed to support the complete production process, from recording live performances to creating finished audio mixes.

Performances Will Reach Fans Worldwide

Apple says performances held at the Apple Music Hall will be livestreamed globally, giving fans outside London the opportunity to experience shows taking place at the venue.

The combination of live production, Spatial Audio, professional recording facilities, and multi-camera video production makes the venue more than a traditional concert space. It also serves as a production hub for creating music content for a worldwide audience.

Apple Music Radio Moves to Battersea Power Station

Alongside the opening of Apple Music Hall, Apple announced that its London-based Apple Music Radio hosts and shows will also begin broadcasting from Battersea Power Station.

The company has opened new radio studios at the location, bringing its live performance, music production, and radio operations together within the same London complex.

The opening of Apple Music Hall marks Apple's latest investment in live music experiences, combining the atmosphere of an intimate concert venue with the technology required for professional audio, video production, and global broadcasting.
