# Huawei Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design Brings Supercar Styling and Up to 2TB Storage

Huawei has introduced a more exclusive addition to its Mate 90 lineup, the **Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design**. Positioned above the Mate 90 Pro Max, the new model combines the flagship’s core hardware with a more luxurious design inspired by high-performance supercars.

## Supercar-Inspired Design

The Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design features a distinctive rear panel with a supercar-inspired aesthetic. Huawei offers the phone in three color options: **Crimson, Pure White, and Jet Black**.

A prominent **octagon-shaped camera island** dominates the rear design, while a raised central section extends from the camera module toward the lower half of the phone. This gives the RS model a more distinctive appearance compared with the standard Mate 90 Pro Max.

## Triple Camera System With RYYB Sensors

Despite its redesigned exterior, the Mate 90 RS retains the same camera hardware found on the Mate 90 Pro Max.

The main camera uses a **50MP 1/1.28-inch RYYB sensor** with a variable **f/1.4–4.0 aperture**. It is accompanied by a **200MP periscope telephoto camera** featuring a 1/1.28-inch sensor and **4x optical zoom**, along with a **40MP ultrawide camera**.

Huawei has also included native support for its **Ruiying Z10 external camera module**, giving users access to additional photographic capabilities.

The separately sold Z10 module features a **1-inch 50MP RYYB sensor** and covers a **24–240mm focal-length range**. The Mate 90 RS shares this capability with the **Mate 90 Pro Max Collector’s Edition**, which is the only other model in the Mate 90 series to support the external camera accessory.

The Ruiying Z10 is sold separately for **CNY 5,999 (approximately $895)**.

## Flagship Hardware and Up to 2TB Storage

Under the premium exterior, the Mate 90 RS shares its major hardware specifications with the Mate 90 Pro Max. These include Huawei’s **Kirin 9500 Pro chipset**, a **6.9-inch tandem LTPO OLED display**, and a large **6,800mAh battery**.

However, the RS Ultimate Design offers a significant advantage in storage capacity. While the Mate 90 Pro Max is available with up to **1TB of storage**, the Mate 90 RS can be configured with as much as **2TB**.

The RS model also adds **IP69 ingress protection** and **satellite connectivity**, further distinguishing it as Huawei’s premium Mate 90 variant.

## Huawei Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design Price and Availability

Huawei will offer the Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design in three configurations:

- **16GB RAM + 512GB storage:** CNY 12,999 (approximately $1,939)
- **16GB RAM + 1TB storage:** CNY 14,999 (approximately $2,237)
- **16GB RAM + 2TB storage:** CNY 18,999 (approximately $2,834)

Shipments of the Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design in China are expected to begin on **November 11**.

With its distinctive supercar-inspired styling, advanced RYYB camera system, satellite connectivity, IP69 protection, and up to 2TB of storage, the Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design expands Huawei’s premium Mate lineup with a more exclusive alternative to the Mate 90 Pro Max.
